Productive Families: kitchens and crafts from community homes

We have opened a section for productive families: one place for the people cooking and making things from home inside our community in Minnesota.

Until now the question went to a group chat - "who makes good mandi?" - four people answered, and the answer scrolled out of the history within two days. This section turns those answers into something that stays and can be searched.

What you will find there

• Home kitchens — mandi, pastries, Eid sweets, catering for a gathering.
• Crafts and handmade work — sewing and alterations, bakhoor and perfume, henna, handmade goods.
• Real photos — because "a tray of mandi" is four different pictures in four people's heads.

Why it is its own section

A family selling mandi from a home kitchen at the weekend is not a restaurant. Listing them among restaurants puts them in an unfair comparison with businesses that differ from them in every way: size, licensing, opening hours. So they have their own category and their own page.

Underneath, though, it is a full listing like any other, so everything already built comes with it: a photo gallery you order yourself, opening hours, reviews, offers, and an inbox where enquiries arrive with a notification.

How to list your family

2. 2From your dashboard choose "Add a business" and pick the Productive Families category.
3. 3Write what you make, attach clear photos, and set your city and how to reach you.
4. 4Submit it for review. You will usually hear back within a day or two.

• No money passes through the platform, and we take no cut of your orders. The arrangement is between you and whoever orders; the platform introduces you and then gets out of the way.
