How business listings are reviewed

Every listing passes through review before it appears, keeping the directory credible and free of fake accounts.
No business appears in the directory the moment it is added. Every listing goes to a reviewer first. That single step is the difference between a directory you can trust and an open list anybody can write into.
What we check
- That the business is real — a clear name, a contact method that works, and a plausible address or service area.
- That the description matches reality — no inflated promises, and no unlicensed work presented as licensed.
- That the photos belong to the business — not pulled off the internet from somebody else's shop.
- That the category is right — so people find you when they search for what you actually do.
How long it takes
Review is done by a person, usually within a day or two. You get a message inside the platform either way:
- Approved — your listing goes live and people start finding it.
- Needs changes — we write the specific reason, not a blanket refusal. Fix it and resubmit.
For example: rejected with no explanation? That does not happen here. If your phone number does not connect, the rejection says exactly that, and you can fix it in a minute.
The verified badge
The badge is not automatic and cannot be bought. Platform staff grant it after a real check: a licence, a visit, or direct knowledge of the owner. A business cannot mark itself verified, which is the only reason the badge means anything.
After you are live
Edits that change what the page says — the name, description, address, a new photo — send the listing back for a short re-review. Changing your opening hours, adding a holiday closure or reordering your photos does not take you out of the directory, because those need to be updated quickly and there is nothing in them to review.
Reviews are checked too
Every review is moderated before it appears, and only members with a confirmed phone number can write one. A business owner can reply to any review, but cannot delete it.
